Assoc. Prof Pon Selvan attends Sixth Sharjah Energy Meet

Curtin University Dubai’s Associate Professor Pon Selvan, Head of School – Science & Engineering, participated in the panel discussion on the topic of ‘Opportunities and Challenges in the Energy Sector’ during the Sixth Sharjah Energy Meet. The panel discussion was organized by Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA), Government of Sharjah.

Associate Professor Selvan spoke about his experience, “Our lifestyle today depends wholly on the use of energy almost every minute. We need to promote renewable energy solutions to cut down fossil use to reduce our carbon footprint. The Sixth Sharjah Energy Meet organized by Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority was a great platform to discuss the various challenges and opportunities in the energy sector locally, regionally, and globally. Curtin University Dubai is committed to offering high-quality research and innovation in the field of conservation of energy and water”.
