Curtin Dubai welcomes students from the home campus

A study group from Perth visited the Curtin Dubai campus for an exciting 11 day trip. With a packed schedule of exciting activities including various outdoor excursions, the students experienced dynamic learning at the Curtin Dubai campus while exploring the city. Dr Khyati Shetty, Head of Curtin Dubai’s Schools of Business and Arts, spoke to the students on the topic of Personal Branding, Mr Daniel Adkins, CEO of a multinational education services provider in the UAE, gave a lecture on Entrepreneurship, and Mr Pankaj Savara, Commissioner – Government of Western Australia, spoke about businesses in the region and its connection with Western Australia.

The group also toured the Curtin Dubai Engineering Pavilion during their campus orientation. Among their industry visits was a trip to the Sharjah Islamic Bank and to the world renowned EXPO 2020 site. Students were taken through the EXPO 2020 grounds and gained insights as to how the World Expo will make its mark. They explored Dubai and all the major attractions including the Palm Jumeirah, Bastakiya, The Gold and Spice Souk, and The Dubai Mall. The students also went on a trip to experience the capital city, Abu Dhabi, where they paid a visit to The Louvre, The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and Warner Bros Studios.
