Curtin Dubai student wins at the Al Adiyat Pick Six Competition

Abdul Ahad Altaf, one of Curtin Dubai’s academically exceptional students, recently participated in the Al Adiyat online Pick Six Competition (which was not sponsored or endorsed by Curtin University Dubai). He successfully analysed the data and predicted the winners of over 500 horse races held in the UAE throughout the course of the 2018/2019 season, competing against various participants from 47 countries around the world.

“It was a great initiative by the CEO Amer Abdul Aziz to promote horse racing in this part of the region as the competition was a great platform to utilise analytical skills of horse racing experts. I was extremely delighted to be one of the winners of this competition as it was quite challenging and it feels great to have predicted so many horse races correctly. It was a wonderful experience and I certainly look forward to it in the upcoming seasons as well” said Abdul, who is currently pursuing an under graduate degree in Finance at Curtin Dubai.
