Bachelor of Commerce – Finance

This course gives you a broad understanding of the structure and operations of financial markets. You’ll learn about investment evaluation and how to make decisions on funding activities and disbursement of profits. You will also examine the role of financial markets.

Work-integrated learning

The Finance major has been accepted into the CFA Institute University Recognition Program. The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential is one of the most respected and recognised investment designation in the world and the CFA program is the first step towards earning this qualification. The degree incorporates at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK), which positions you well to sit for CFA exams. While studying the Finance major, you will be taught by staff who undertake practical research and help you to apply theory to real situations.

Course Duration

The BCom – Finance is a 3 year program when taken in a standard semester model as a full time student and 6 years when taken part-time on the semester model.
