Career Guidance Support Webinars by Curtin Dubai

Last month, Curtin University Dubai launched the School Support Program with an aim to assist school counsellors and teachers to ease the transition to online learning for students and help them study effectively during the current pandemic. The program offers Career Guidance Webinars to schools, where students and counsellors can request specific webinars that will promote learning and development as an added support to their current education.

While the current situation does not permit face-to-faces sessions with students, Curtin Dubai is determined to continue delivering high-quality talks and tailor-made programs through virtual means.

Faculty at Curtin Dubai actively engaged in a number of webinars hosted during the month of May 2020 in partnership with schools in Dubai – The Ambassador School, Al Diyafah High School, and The Westminster School to name a few. CEO of Curtin University Dubai’s Education Management Services Provider, Mr. Daniel Adkins presented an enlightening session on ‘University and Career Planning in a Post-Covid 19 World’ to high-school students of the GEMS group of schools.

Various other topics like ‘Cybersecurity’, ‘Starting University in the time of Covid-19’, ‘Exploring the importance of Social Capital for Students’ and more were covered in the series of Career Guidance Webinars hosted by the university.
