Curtin University Dubai has increased flexibility with its admission pathways and requirements. After the COVID-19 impacts, the University is granting admission to students based on predicted grades. To determine one’s eligibility for any of the courses on offer, the University would require an official document containing the expected grades from the relevant examination authority (e.g., CBSE, Cambridge, Edexcel, IB), as school results alone would not suffice.
If, due to the pandemic or other reasons, a prospective student cannot produce official predicted grades/results, they can gain conditional admission through the ‘Open Access’ pathway. The Open Access path is open to those who possess an adequate level of English proficiency and have completed relevant subjects at school. Admission will be granted conditionally and students will simply need to pass two or more of the four units in which they have enrolled to continue their studies.
These new policies are of great benefit to students that have had their studies significantly impacted by COVID-19. The multiple-entry pathways to the university give everyone an opportunity to study at a top-ranked Australian University.
