Miguel Bilan, a first-year Mechanical Engineering student of Curtin Dubai successfully completed an internship with AGMC BMW.
Speaking about his experience, Miguel said, “The university’s industry visit to AGMC BMW helped me secure a 4-week internship opportunity with the company. During this internship, I worked as a technician and learned how cars operate and why certain car parts are designed the way they are. It was a really interesting experience because I have always been curious and passionate about cars, and it was amazing to gain in-depth knowledge. I would like to thank AGMC BMW for having me and I wish to work on more projects related to automobiles in the future.”
Keerthana Danasekaran, another first-year Mechanical Engineering student of Curtin Dubai recently started her internship at The Assembly – a non-profit organization that conducts workshops and events related to tech on a weekly basis. Elaborating on her role at The Assembly, Keerthana gave us insight into her duties, “I’m an R&D intern at The Assembly and my job role is to design workshops on a weekly basis. This involves making prior prototypes, keeping a record, and documenting the steps of making a working model. I work on research, making presentations, and conducting workshops. My role also involves working with hardware like Arduino boards, Raspberry PI computers, and 3D printers to make parts for the prototypes.”
